gem225: (Mr. Big Big Bear 1)
I worked in Mind's Eye Yarns alone, Sunday through Tuesday (one 2-hour Saturday too!) in May for two weeks, and it went well, and I'm going to work this Saturday for the whole 8-hour day.

I learned to knit short row heels, so I can knit not only tube socks, but socks with heels too. I've knit socks for Greg and for me, and I'll keep knitting them. I want to knit socks for the Nieces Three, but those will probably be tube socks, since those are easier and wear longer for young people. I have a whole lot of sock yarn that I bought for shawls, but it's better to make socks, I think.

Greg made candied bacon jam last night with coffee and a pound of bacon follwing a recipe I don't know but it's online (try googling if if you like, or comment and I'll ask Greg to give me the link/links)- after we had it over cornmeal-seared cod Saturday night at East Coast Grill. Wow.

All is well here. I knit a lot. I'm working on intuitive eating even though I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and I'm very happy doing that - it's wonderful to eat what I want when I want and finding out how that makes me feel. I'm eating better, I know that I am, cause I feel better and lighter. I'm going to SAMW in less than two weeks, so I have to get back into playing the guitar and dulcimer, and singing more would be good too.

I'm happy. Don't worry about me, dear ones. I'm very, very good. :-)
